Submit Your Vision for Light Up Festival!
The Light Up Festival is officially accepting submissions!
We invite artists from around the globe to participate in our video mapping competition.
To enter, download our comprehensive Artist Kit, which includes high-resolution images and the projection mapping template of the Palace of Culture. Create a trial video of a maximum of 30 seconds showcasing your projection idea and submit it via the form below. The deadline for all submissions is August 10th.

1. Register Your Entry (July 9th - August 10th, 24:00 EEST)
To register, send the following to our form

Registration Form: Complete this form with the full list of authors/artists who collaborated on your work, including their identification details (social security number or passport number for international participants, ID document series and number). This form also includes a required statement signed by you or your legal representative.

30-Second Demo: Submit a 30-second 2D animation that represents your concept and scenario. This demo does not need to comply with the final mapping format, but it must align with the competition's theme and concept. The actual projection mapping template of the Palace of Culture will be provided after registration begins.

Artist Portfolio: Include your CV and/or a video-mapping portfolio with links or references to your representative works. This helps us understand your artistic and video-mapping abilities.
2. Preliminary Judging & Finalist Selection
The six finalists will have the opportunity to create a video mapping show of up to 5 minutes, with which they will compete for the prizes offered in the competition.
Our judges will conduct a preliminary scoring of all submitted projects based on:

A jury, announced publicly on our website by August 15th, 2025, will select 6 finalist teams. These finalists will be notified via email and/or phone, and the final list will be announced on August 15th, 2025, on www.lightupfestival.ro/finalisti.
